Memory Keeper is a valuable camphor wood chest that has been kept for more than 50 years. It was used to be a Chinese woman's dowry when she got married in the past. It's a delicate wooden box with craved pattern and metal lock where old memories were treasured.
To make a better use, we transform it into a tea table while retaining its original features. A framework composed of 4 wheels, 8 steel couplers and 8 steel pipes are made to wrap it up. A glass is placed on top to protect the chest while the user could still observe the artistic carving.
One pair of the pipes has a hydraulic mechanism, which allows lifting up the glass to 90°. The crossover of industrial elements gives the Chinese camphor wood chest a second-life.
